Pause Company designs whimsical products on the West Coast working closely with manufactures and artisans across Portugal. Up-cycling cork and other sustainable raw materials into large blocks that are pressed together with heat and glue from the oak cork tree. Skilled artisans then hand crave each cork piece similar to a block of wood. No other place in the world has such a natural abundance of cork or the generations of skilled peoples to create unique pieces.
